What I'm working on.

Updated November 2026. These are the things I'm actively building or testing right now. The proxy work feeds directly into this site. The side projects are separate threads I'm pulling on in parallel.

Open source

Three tools. One goal: reliable scraping at near-zero cost.

  1. 01

    Open SERP Checker — launched

One terminal command. Tests whether your proxy setup can hit Google SERPs without being blocked. The goal was a reproducible pass/fail test I could run myself, not a third-party claim.

  2. 02

Open Web Scraping API — launching

Almost free to run if you have a terminal. Most sites serve static HTML that any curl can fetch — no proxy needed. Only JS-heavy sites that fingerprint the browser actually need one. The API handles the full stack. Where a proxy is genuinely required, I guide which one fits the scale and the task.

  3. 03

Open source proxy tester — in design

Two setups using the same residential pool from the same provider often get different results. It comes down to how the request is shaped: connection reuse, header fingerprint, timing. Building a tool to isolate that variable. Not a proxy service — a testing instrument.

Proxy testing

Mostly residential. Constant.

Both the SERP checker and the web scraping API need proxies for JS-heavy targets, so I'm running residential proxies against real sites continuously. The results feed into the proxy.report test suite — which providers hold up at concurrency, which rotate cleanly, which degrade quietly after the first few thousand requests. The open source proxy tester project is a direct result of trying to answer why two identical setups on the same provider pool perform differently.

Side projects

Things I'm building beyond this site.

  1. 01

    Coupon scraper rebuild

15+ coupon sites fed daily from a custom scraping system. Rebuilding it on top of the new web scraping API. First real production test of the tool under sustained load.

  2. 02

    MD editor

I write everything in Bear — including every article on this site. Its limitation: only tags, no folders. Building a Bear-like writing environment that has both. The writing surface I actually want.

  3. 03

    AI visibility analysis maps

Building niche-level AI visibility maps that show how brands are positioned inside LLM outputs across a market. Each map is a scraped, structured picture of which brands own which concepts in AI-generated answers — all powered by the web scraping API.

  4. 04

    Crypto transaction tracker

Side dev work for cryptocasino.report. Building a tracker that follows where crypto moves: transaction timelines, end-address flow, how crypto-powered businesses are changing their offers. The goal is to surface what the chain actually records about how these businesses operate.

  5. 05

    Reviews curation and analysis

Scraping and analyzing real user reviews to extract what customers actually say about brands, before the marketing layer smooths it out. Separating signal from SEO-optimized noise.
